Week 11A

Below is a photo of my critique group. The feedback I received was:

• Impact spreads
• make the bottom text (the deck) a little larger in case it is difficult to read because of the video
• make sure to fix the links so that it is a word or something so there is not a random jumble of letters
• Secondary page
• make the text in the boxes larger
• make the white text larger, or bolder, or if that does not work change the color
• try to work on the right rag, especially the middle paragraph
• add streaks to the line to make it more dynamic
• make the blue rounded rectangle one of those colors
• maybe put some video in
• add a screenshot of the tutorial
• maybe add a pull quote

Changes I made during class

Above are the horizontal and vertical versions of my layout after I had made a few corrections during the time remaining in class. I got the link on the first page to work so that long line of random characters is gone. The text that is black on the impact spread is the link, that is it in its clicked state because when I told the screen shots it was after I tested it. I made the text on the first pages bigger overall. On the second page the major change was the addition of more streaks to make it more visually interesting  and reflect the video more. I also made the type in the rounded rectangle larger and I was able to get the second pages to come up correctly on the ipad. The only thing that is still not working is the video, it works on all over previews but the ipad. The video is a .flv or .f4v as suggested by Indesign when I tried to put in my .mov. I am also still working on the rag on the second pages.
